To award the contract to General Linen, LLC for our linens and bedding for the Nursing Home for a price of $663.00 per week, $34,476.00 per year- and we are not going out to bid because they have maintained the same price for the last four years and there are very few companies that do this; And we have not had any problems for the last four years.

DISCUSSION: YES: Babson: Objects that a department head take responsibility for signing contracts. Bevard sees it as saving time.

GOVERNMENTOVERSITE-COM: NH State statutes could address this by not allowing any elected official to transfer their authority and responsibility to unelected employees. This issue is also prevalent in towns that have administrators and town managers.
